Inspired by Airbus' A380 double-decker, I thought it would be interesting to see a double-decker replacement for the A320/737 lines of aircraft. Instead of just adding a second deck to an existing narrowbody aircraft, I'd like to see the fuselage shortened, so that the same number of passengers would occupy the new double-decker model as would the standard single model. I'm thinking that on the main deck, you'd have about 20 rows of 2-2 seating and then on the upper deck, 20 rows of 1-1 seating (totaling only about 100 passengers). From the outside, I think it would look very interesting to have an unusually narrow but also unusually tall fuselage.
