Good-Looking planes!
May 05, 2008 12:41AM
I figured since we have had the ugly planes thread, maybe we should have a good looking planes thread.

Here's mine (quite a few)
A320 family
A333
A345 (Perfect plane, engines go well with fuse. fuse is long but not too long.)
MD-11 Just awesome
VC-10 (Classic jet!)
Il-96M (Right length, engines)
Concorde
727 (Looks like a rocket!)
773ER

737-800
737-900
757-200
757-300
767-300
767-400
777-200 (particularly the /LR)
777-300
A320
A321
A330-300

I'm a sucker for raked wingtips.

The 717 is nice, escpecially the long podded engines. Perhaps a more '707/727/737' nose would look a little better.

I liked the Comet 1, but the 4 seemed too long.
I really just like planes in general I suppose.

Small & cute yet so powerful and it is a very comfortable plane to fly on IMHO except when i went to the toilet at the aft of the plane - like entering a skyscraper during an earthquake - quite fun really! smiling smiley and that was my first flight on an A320 series plane - i gotta say, i thought that the A320 planes weren't that roomy and wide, compared to the 737's i've flown (733's, 2's, 4's) this looked like a widebody. so wide and the overhead bins really make the size of the cabin stand out! it turns as fast as a fighter plane and compared to those old 737's which i've flown this is stable as you can get! once again, the cabin seems veryyyyy roomy. The meal was a good one too! Pasta & plum tart - 5* for a 2.5 hour flight! Their service is nice (AF) and i really like the seats they've got on those planes if only those airbus windows were the size of 777 windows-oh well i can't ask for everything. I would love another flight on the A318 or maybe the A321 to compare the two planes smiling smiley
oh btw, my fav drink while flying - tomato juice - the minute maid one AF serve is excellent but it needs pepper winking smiley

lol. I've always found my 320s roomyer. But I cant compare well because ive only been on the -200 (which was entirely crampt and old and annoying and my legs could barely fit and I was like 8. But that's Air Canada for you lol. But Alaska's -400s were very roomy and nice so I need to fly more 737s lol. I gotta say TEDs A320s actually had more room then UAs A320 in EC and same in the A319s. I found that weird.

I've been on more Boeing's but from the Airbuses I went on, they are better. The A318 is awesome, I was hoping more airlines would order it after LCY certification. VLM should, it would work great for them.

Although I'm an Airbus fan, I do like the 757-200WL. That thing is incredible. The A320 and 737 can't compete on some routes. Its incredibly overpowered (Search 757 RNZAF airshow video).

I also like the 727-200, 777-300ER and from some angles, the 744.
