jay Airlines
Lets fly away!

Introducing a brand new airline to Canada. An airline that will be spread wide accross the nation. An airline that will broaden the horizons for canadian air travel. Say hello to Jay airlines, an airline that plans to 4 Bombardier Q400 aircraft out of Vancouver International and Toronto City Centre Airport. CEO Trevor de Verteuil states, "Many airlines in Canada are not showing the great service that airlines such as Frontier, JetBlue, and Virgin America in the U.S. serve. We want to put a stop to that! It's time Canada has an airline that cares about the comfort and services of the passengers." He also anounced that each aircraft will have a name. The frist Bombardier Q400 will be named "New Venturer" and will have the registration C-FAJY, the rest are to be anounced. Jay will be fly Toronto to Ottowa, Montreal, Winnipeg and Vancouver to Seattle and Kelowna. Jay plans to expand its fleet with 4 more Q400s later this year plus more routes including Halifax, Victoria, Boston, Chicago, and possibly Fredricton. Jay has not yet shown their aircraft livery to the public but the plane has been painted. The CEO of Jay also released to the public their mascot "JAY-the bluejay" as the airline is named "jay" because of the birds known as jays that are common in Canada. Their are greyjays and other types of jays but we thought the blue jay would be most appropriate. Jay plans to start flights on Sunday.

Ialis (I-alice)
Where Do You Want To Be?

Ialis is planning to revolutionize the way people fly. Operating a pure 777 fleet, Ialis opens the gateway for anyone to go anywhere. With a simplified fair structure of 2 types of fairs for ice (Economy) and 1 for aqua (Buisness), Ialis is promising simplcity in travel, upbeat and fun travel and an experience that never ceases to amaze.
Ialis begins with the simplicity. The entire reservation system operates infinity by orange Technology, allowing extreme flexibility and, being the only system to work with all current systems including Armadeus and Sabre, lets Ialis partner with anyone in the future.
Simplicity continues to the cabin. All the perks are intergrated into the back of the seat. The AVOD system, spaceworld, is powered by lumiereOS, runing the CRYSTAL revision, allowing Ialis to leave the system by itself and forget it while it runs itself.
spaceworld uses 10.4 inch touchscreens in ice and 15 inch touchscreens in Aqua, all manufactured in partnership with Thales TopSeries. All screens are capable of lumiereHD high definition content. The unit's controller is is erganomically design and uses LCD displays under each button, meaning that each button can change to reflect it's current function.
Simplicity doesn't mean risking sophistication. Ialis uses the bar/waterfall unit by SELL to enhance the aircrafts enviorment. Reall glass is used onboard. LED moodlighting is installed on all aircrafts. Catering is handelled by chefs from various restaurants. Trolleys are the Eagle series which is 40% lighter and is capable of good looks.

So with all this, and with cheap fares, the only question you have to ask yourself is: where do you want to be??

Simple. Global?

With justFly, you decide where you want to be and when you want to be there. That's all.
You pay only for what you need, with our flat rate list. Never again will you pay for someone else's checked baggage. Meals are availible for purchase on North American flights and flights within the EU. They are included with your ticket on international flights, but you can choose to omit them if you wish. Priority boarding is complimentary on Alpha (premium economy) and is availble for a very low price for Delta Class. Lounge access can be purchased by any passenger. Paper tickets are extra.
Our goal is to let our passengers pick what they want, when they want it, in stead of deciding for them.

justFly's extensive network operates on 747-8 and worldliners, allowing you to go anywhere on earth with the swipe of a credit card.

so, what are you waiting for? justFly?

CS News

Canadian Airlines Group is cordially inviting all current acela, aeon, oneworld members, as well as all partners of Canadian Airlines (arabian, hint hint) to join us in YVR for the launch of altus.

altus is the new terminal designed in cooperation with CS Labs and the world famous Atkins Architecture firm (designers of many notable buildings including the Burj Al-Arab, Millenium Stadium, and British Airways World Cargo Center).

Next to altus is Wilis, the domestic terminal just for CS flights

altus was designed exclusively for Canadian and it's partners for a simple transition between partner airlines. It features high tech facilities and has been rated on the of top airport facilities in the world. The facility make heavy use of natural light and collects solar energy through discreet panels throughout the building.

Passengers who require to transit to another airline not operating within the Altus-Wilis complex can do so via both a glass bridge linking it to the YVR link building (exit for SkyTrain passengers, links the YVR Domestic and International terminals) or through the Levie trains, a magnetic train with heavy use of glass and acrylic to achieve a floating look.

My airline is East Coast Airlines.
We bought the rights of Eastern Airlines.
We fly BAe 146-200, -300 and Boeing 737-700 jets fully loaded, which means, leather seats, great leg room, hot meals, satellite T.V. at each seat, and a full complimentary bar.
We are merging Piedmont, US Airways Express into our operation and the new Q200 and Q400 Dash 8's will be flown buy our crews.
We will serve every city from Maine to Florida and only operate from the international terminals so that passengers can connect to overseas flights. We are part of the Star alliance frequent flyer program.
Our main goal is to make flying on the East coast of the United States a far more pleasant experience. Our aim is to put US Airways to shame and chase out SWA from the east coast.
Our hubs are major international gateways, however our crew bases are in towns which are affordable to live in.
Our bases include
Hartford, CT.
Harrisburg, PA.
Norflok, VA.
Raleigh/Durham, NC.

ny

ny introduces a new standard to the airline industry; the New York standard.

ny keeps with the spirit of New York, introducing the finest materials and technologies for cabin interiors, introducing uniforms made by some of New York's most prestigious fashion houses, and bringing the energy from the streets to the skies.

We operate from our very own YORK terminal at JFK. Operating from our own terminal allows us to keep our passengers away from the hussle and bustle of the main terminals and allows us to make ny passengers even more comfortable.

ny's cabin introduces a milestone in passenger inflight entertainment, the soNY (So New York) system designed and powered by Sony America, orange Technology, and luna (Lumiere Unified Entertainent Network).

Frequent flyers can earn points towards future flights, perks, privilages and gifts, as members of The 5th. Tiers of The 5th are arranged by neighbourhoods of New York.

Get ready to experience the ny style onboard our first aircraft, the new Boeing 777 worldliners, named The Liberty, The Manhattan, The High Life, and The Ambassador

Short description on airline:
Mediterranea was founded in 1993 and started flights in 1994. We started flights with a Boeing 737-200 to London STN and Algieres. Later, in 1995 we ordered 2 Boeing 767-200ER's from Boeing and recieved them in 1996. We stopped the 737 services to London STN and Algieres and were now opperating an all widebody fleet. The 767's had J & Y class configurations and were flying to New York JFK and Toronto. Those two routes were opperating well so we decided to order 2 Airbus A330-200's that we recieved in 1997. They were fitted out in an F, J & Y class config. and were flying to Miami and Lagos. In 1999 we saw passenger numbers sky-rocket and ordered our first 777's, 3 777-200ER's. We wanted to become a world class airline and did something different with our new planes, we fitted the 777's with a 2 x 3 x 2 configuration in economy for maximum passenger comfort, the 777's were recieved in 2000. In 2000 we ordered another A330-200 and recieved it the same year, the A330-200 was opperating to Dubai and the 777's were opperating to Tokyo, Beijing and Bangkok. In 2001 we ordered quite a few aircraft, 9 Boeing 777-200ER's(2 to replace the 767's which we wanted to sell), 1 Airbus A330-200 and 5 Airbus A340-500's. the A330 was recieved the same year along with three 777's. We recieved all of the A340's in 2002 and the 6 remaining 777-200ER's we had ordered. 2002 was a quite year for us in order numbers. In 2003 we also ordered 4 more A330-200's and 2 A380's. We had added a number of destinations and were now flying to North America, South America, Asia, Africa & Australia. In 2004 we ordered 10 777-300ER's and bought 2 777-300's. The same year we recieved a 777-300ER and ofcourse the 2 second hand 777-300's(made in 2001). In 2005 we ordered 6 Boeing 777-200LR's and recieved 2 777-300ER's. In 2006 we recieved 5 777-300ER's and 3 777-200LR's. And in 2007 we recieved the remaining 2 777-300ER's and 3 777-200LR's, our oldest aircraft is from 1997 and our youngest (777-200LR) is from July, 2007. We recieved the airline of the year award in 2006 and are a 5 star airline certified by Skytrax.

to make your letters be bold type: [ b](text)[ b]
to make your letters underlined type: [ u](text)[ u]
to make your letters italic type: [ i](text)[ i]

do not type it with spaces- i mean do not type [ b]-you have to write it all together- [b.] -without the full stop...

Lumiere crystal (revision 2)
Now ready

Revision 2 brings even more features to the impressive list that has already made LumiereOS a phenomenon withing the airline industry.

New features include:

- Custom branding
Contact orange Technology/Canadian Airlines and we can now customize the system to your airline's specifications. This includes options such as simplying installing the Lumiere OS over your existing AVOD system, adding your airline's name and colors to the system, and rebranding the name from Lumiere to another name (For example, Virgin America utilizes the brand Red for it's Lumiere Volva system)

- Additional language capabilities
By default, Lumiere has 100 languages built into the system. Additional languages can be downloaded from Luna.

- the hotly anticipated GamerLink
GamerLink allows passengers who use WiiConnect, Playstation Home, or Xbox Live to keep an eye on their scores , talk to their buddies and more. Playstation Home users can see and use their avatars while Wii users can use their Miis

- Video Calling
With the included cameras from orange Technology (dot Series and Matrix Series), anyone can now chat seat to seat with video for free. And if you call someone with a 3G capable phone, video calling to anyone on earth can now be established

-SIM Calling
simple. Insert your SIM into the slot and you can call using your own phone plan and pay from your phone bill.

- Menu capability
If your passengers want to avoid breaking eyes with the screen and their movie, they can now order food through their Lumiere screen. And if your airline requires the purchase of food on your flights, intigrated credit card slots can be used to pay for food right at the seat

- Your Journey section
Developed with Rockwell Collins and initially deployed on the British Airways High Life Entertainment system, the Your Journey section is an amazing new feature
Designed with freedom in mind, Journey includes the must have, the map. Passengers can choose to switch between a normal map of the world, the default 3D interface, or a model airplane on a line which allows passengers to know exactly where they are or were at any point during the flight.
Duty free shopping catalogs can be placed into the system, as well as full city guides provided by LUNA.
If the airline chooses, airport arrival videos can be added, tailored specifically for the airline.

- Calculations
After input from existing customers, the system can now include a calculator to calculate the mileage a person can earn on any flight on the airline for their Frequent flyer program

- Full office
Developed with OpenOffice, the full suite can now be used onboard. Link that with the USB mass storage support, and you have your very own office in the skies.
In addition, Google Docs is now supported fully on the Lumiere system.

- Linux games
We have invited and recieved hundreds of games from around the world coded by independant developers for the linux kernal recoded to work on Lumiere. These games are now availiable on the system.

- New interfaces
Our award winning interface, La Reve, is now supported by new interface choices, such as Croix, Turntable, melt, drift, streak, neon, and Julius.

So with all this, how can you afford not to keep your passenger happy? Experience the world's favorite AVOD system now

West Airlines- Go ahead. The sky is waiting.

Beginnings

West Airlines was founded on September 26, 1965 in Portland, Oregon. The airline was originally planned to be based in Hawaii flying from Honolulu to LAX, but a more suitable regional airline model was adopted. The airline started with 4 Boeing 737-100s originally intended for Lufthansa, but instead taken by investors of West Airlines. The first destinations out of Portland were Boise, San Francisco, Seattle, Spokane, and Vancouver, offering two-class service at reasonable fares. Later on, West Airlines co-launched the Boeing 737-200 with United and took delivery of over 30 examples from 1968 until 1975. The airline expanded to every major city on the West Coast with a hub in Portland and focus cities in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In 1976, when the airline became limited in capacity, struggling start-up carrier Pacific Air was bought along with its 3 Boeing 727-200s and Los Angeles base. This added routes from Los Angeles to Dallas/Ft Worth, Denver, and Houston, at the time were brand new cities not accessible to West Airlines.

Deregulation and beyond

In 1978, when the airline industry became deregulated, West Airlines took a highly risky step by attacking Continental, Frontier, and United at Denver's Stapleton Airport. New routes to Boise, Colorado Springs, Dallas/Ft Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle-Tacoma, and Spokane were added with a mixed variety of Boeing 727 and 737-200 aircraft. By 1980, the airline had cut over 75% of the added routes due to counter attacks from incumbent airlines. To reverse the damage caused by Denver, West Airlines ordered 15 Boeing 727-200 and 15 737-200 aircraft for expansion out of California. This eventually boosted the fleet to 26 727-200 and close to 50 737-200 aircraft by 1983. In 1983, West Airlines again co-launched another 737 model, the 737-300. Along with Southwest Airlines and US Air, 12 initial examples were ordered to test long range routes from Portand to Chicago O' Hare, Kansas City, Minneapolis-St Paul, and St Louis, and Los Angeles to Dallas/Ft Worth, Houston, Kansas City, and St Louis. The 737-300s proved highly successful and an additional 30 examples were ordered to start replacing the 20 oldest 737-200s and extra expansion to the Midwest.

In 1988, when West Airlines had already built up fortress hubs in LAX and Portland, Boeing 757-200 and 767-300ER aircraft were ordered to test the transcontinental and Hawaiian market. With Pan Am and Eastern failing in the transcontinental market, this gave an opportunity to take market share from the major airlines. By 1990, a fleet of 12 Boeing 757-200s and 5 767-300ERs had given West Airlines nationwide coverage to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago O' Hare (from LAX), Honolulu, Kahului, Miami, Newark, New York JFK, Orlando, Philadelphia, and Washington Dulles and a 25% share in the New York-Los Angeles market. By 2000, West Airlines ordered Boeing 737 NG and 777 aircraft to start international flights to Asia by 2001. But the September 11th terrorist attacks changed all of that...

9/11 Aftermath

The 9/11 attacks delayed West Airlines 777 deliveries and international expansion, and caused the airline to cut its transcontinental services to New York for almost a year until conditions became better. 10% of its work force was cut and flights from its hubs were reduced until about 2003, when the airline started hiring again and expanding again. The 8 Boeing 777-200ERs ordered in 2000 were delivered from 2003-2005 and flights from LAX to Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore (via HKG), and Tokyo-Narita, and from Portland to Tokyo-Narita were launched.

Present

Currently a fleet of mixed 737, 757, 767, and 777s are operated by West Airlines. New aircraft such as the A350 and 787 are being reviewed as we speak. An order for A350s and 787s will be announced soon.
