We ordered 10 more BBJ2's for long haul service which were recieved from 2002 until 2006. Services to Australia, Europe and the US were commenced. In 2003 10 A319CJ's were ordered which were all delivered by January 2007. Services to the Middle East and South Africa were started while services to Asia(short - medium haul) were started in 2004. We have one Boeing BBJ2 on order for services to Asia. We are planning on ordering more BBJ2's for Asian service and A319CJ's to serve selected routes as second daily flights. We choose to have an all narrow body corporate jet fleet to offer passengers more space and less hassle at airports at the gate and at check in. Even though we are using narrowbodies our cabins are still as diverse and comfortable as other airlines widebodies(suites in first class, generous recline in economy). We are possibly going to order bigger corporate jets in the future(747-8/787-8) for non stop service to New York, Washington and possibly South America. cabins Our cabin product is the same throughout our fleet: Premium class Premium class is our first class product with 6 suites on our A319CJ's and 8 suites on our BBJ2's set in a 1 x 1 configuration. Suites feature a 23" TV and a 3" control TV, a 5 beverage mini bar, lie flat bed, closing doors for maximum privacy...cabin colors are black, white and gray. Economy class Economy class is set in a 3 x 3 configuration and seats have a pitch of 33.5" and a PTV that is 11" in diameter. There are two personal reading lights and footrests under the seats. All aircraft feature our AVOD system hk.tv (similar to Emirates' ICE) and all passengers in all classes recieve amenity kits done by BVLGARI (Colgate teeth products too). All passengers recieve BOSE sound cancelling earphones throughout their flight which if they want they can return at the end of the flight or purchase if they want for $30/USD (Premium Class) and $50/USD(Economy Class). air.hk update Due to expansion reasons, we have ordered 9 Airbus A319CJ's and 8 Boeing BBJ2's. The BBJ2's will be put on short-medium haul routes throughout Asia while the A319CJ's will be deployed on current routes like LHR, CDG, LAX, JFK via HNL and another route will also be launched: Our first canadian destination: Toronto Pearson. Opperated by the BBJ2 via Honolulu on a daily basis. We are also considering opening another service to a city in Canada. We are also considering opening an all suite(first class) airline based at HKG. If so the airline would opperate Airbus A310-300's and later A330-200's and fly to Europe, the Middle East and the USA. The fleet would probably be made up of 3-5 A310-300's in an all first class configuration with even better suites than the suites in Premium Class. We are trying to find A310's on the market. more updates from hk.air soon Rock the Casbah
to air.hk: Could West Airlines form a codeshare or alliance of some sort on flights to US destinations from HKG and air.hk to Asian destinations? Currently West Airlines flights from HKG are as follows: WT001/002 LAX-HKG-LAX (daily 777-200ER) WT003/004 LAX-HKG-LAX (daily 777-200ER) WT005/006 HKG-SIN-HKG (5x weekly 777-200ER/cont. of WT003/004) WT011/012 PDX-HKG-PDX (daily 777-200ER) WT051/052 LAX-HKG-LAX (Sat. only 777-200ER) WT089/090 SEA-HNL-HKG-HNL-SEA (4x weekly A330-200/Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat) WT053/054 SFO-HKG-SFO (daily 777-200ER/starts January 7th, 2008) This would provide connections to 4 West Airlines bases in Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle to destinations across North America, and limited inter-island connections from Honolulu with West Connect to Hilo, Kahalui, Lihue, and Kona in Hawaii. Contact West Airlines and a term will be negotiated. Jason :-D sapphire- Go ahead, the sky is waiting.

The flights are scheduled to launch on February 1st with 6 Boeing 737-300 aircraft. Eventually these aircraft may be replaced in 2009 with Embraer E-195s. Starting May 30th, 5 new destinations will be launched from Ontario as more 737-300s are transferred from LAX. 3 daily flights to Dallas/Ft Worth, 4 to Houston, and 7 to San Jose will be introduced to ONT, eventually making ONT West Airlines' 5th largest base, after Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle-Tacoma.
