tutorial maybe?

i was just wondering if anyone would be able to put a tutorial together, just a simple one of how to paint templates properly. i've been trying to get the hang of it in GIMP, but i'm not doing very well. it was just a thought for some beginners to get the hang of it.
would be much appriciated.

Welcome aboard! Glad to see some new members.

There have been a few posted tutorials mostly in text form. I've done a couple myself with illustrations. This one is how to overlay those little lines in templates. You can see these in just about every photo by Jetabout on this site. The template I work on is his 767-300, and it was done entirely in GIMP:

thanks, i don't have any specific steps, i'm just starting out and looking for some tips and tut's.

i create photoshop kits. they are ready made layers. all that i do is create my livery and stack all the layers together. my templates take me 1-2 hours to make and it saves me about 6 hours every time...

if i can get my photoshop working again, i will do some templates.
