Your design characteristics

I was just wondering whether any of you have any characteristic/signature design that makes it special/unique to you. Like if I will just look at a design without looking at the designer and say instantly "Ah! This is designed by Mario/Cheetajet/Trevor etc...because of this and this and this characteristic". It may be anything, from a special colour schemes you use, specific shapes, certain techniques you use, your little logo thingy like Mario and I or even specific aircraft that you like designing. Maybe even, a specific way you layout your design.

Look forward to hear from you!

The only technique that I can really think of is that I always use pictures that I have taken when I was at an airport or on a flight.

Most of my work is contemporary and modern styling. Generally I don't design old-styled liveries unless it's a 'retrojet'. Also, most of my designs are Airbus aicraft, specifically the A320 family. Other then that, I have a signature of either my name or the "imagewings" logo. Also, recently I've been getting rid of coloured backgrounds and leaving the background white. tongue sticking out smiley

The only thing I can think of for me is that I make all the registrations on my planes N776AU whether it's a template or photo (I didn't on my one Flight Sim mod, but I explained that in the photo). I guess that's my own way of signing my work.

For all three of you I can tell what photos are yours even if I don't see a name attached. Mikephotos, and Ryan Powers are the same way for me too. I don't know why, but it's just something that I can see in them.

It seems a little more clear as to why in seeing your respective reasons.

When I do combos, I try to keep the design and make very small changes, such winglets, different colors etc. I don't go old, unless I have to do a retrojet (which i haven't done yet but am in the process). I use to have gradient backgrounds but got rid of them because i think they distort the livery. Recently I also started playing around with opacity.

I have to agree with Patrick, there's certain designers you can tell without looking at the names on the design. It may have something to do with shading techniques, templates, and reflection effects.
