It has come to my attention that the author of the 797 template displayed in the following image, but not limited to that single image, has used elements of my work in an uncredited and unauthorised fashion: [www.cardatabase.net] You can clearly see that elements of this design are ripped from my 787 templates, the engine exhaust heat shield on the pylon. The Tail cone, the windows, the door details and overall shape. My lawyer and his legal team are of the same opinion. My template for comparison: [www.cardatabase.net] I humbly request anyone requesting permission to use this template to refrain from using them. I have sent an e-mail to MAP management to sort the situation out and trust them to help this matter to a happy conclusion. I hate to do this, but if I had been asked, I would be singing a more welcome tune. remember, keep thy airspeed up, less the ground come from below and smitt thee
I have to me honest and say that I used your as well as several images from Boeing and Flight international to make my Adobe Illustrator drawing of the Boeing 787! Since I only used it for comparison to check similarities I dont feel like I did anything wrong. In case of the these images of 797 I dont feel like they have copied you so much at all. In fact I feel like they/him/her just used there imagination to create something new! You should be upset over this since its clearly something unique with your fine and very accurate drawing! GOOD JOB! / Cyrus www.cyrusswire.com
The real 787 has all these features. Their are a diffrent amount of dots on his sheild plus they are whiter then yours and it curves more. The door details are differently shaped and not attatched. In my honest opinion they are nothing alike and there is no illeagle action taken here. It maybe a situation where it's like yours but modified and put differently. Example: reading an article and putting it in your own words for an essay. This is not illeagle. It is actually encouraged as the right way instead of copying completely. Before you go ahead and make suspitions, you should contact Risk Design personally. ------------------------------ Trevor de Verteuil Graphic Design Student / Admin Member
No doubt that the 797 was 'modified' from a 787, however in a legal fashion. The creator for Risk Design brand was the same original creator for Oso Blanco brand. I knew him through e-mail.....If I am not wrong, his 797 was based from his 787 (You may want to compare the fuselage texture with his Oso Blanco 787s). Post Edited (07-31-08 19:26) (( LUSH ))
I don't remember copying from anyone... Please check the details of both modified drawings, they are quite different. And if not, then that's just the shape of the 787. riskdesign Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 03/21/2009 01:20PM by oso blanco. (view changes)
Oh wow, I thought Risk Design's work looked familiar! I'm excited to know that Oso Blanco is still uploading! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/24/2009 12:58AM by Orca333. (view changes) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
