Hi,

Just chipping in with my comments as well.

1. Suzuki......relevant background - good
2. Carry ......interesting - good
3. Lada ......not relevant surroundings. If we fill the site with these photos visitors would get bored pretty fast. Thumbnails won't show anything interesting that makes you want to click to see the big photo. Unless you're interested in architecture/scenery in that country (which I am actually in many cases, but that's not what the site is about)
4. Iveco ......good photo and interesting with a big truck on a small residential street. I wish that the photo could have been taken so that the moving white car would not be visible.
5. Hyundai ....a bit too far away, especially with a green car on green background. Interesting situation enough where a cropped out car might not give the same feeling.
6. Ford........great to see what's in there - good
7. Vitara .....too dark on left and too bright on the right side. Can't fix that when screening since it affects the whole photo and left side would be way too dark or right side way too bright. Only possible to fix with photoshop or similar photo editing tools. I like the photo, so I'd wish for the photographer to learn how to fix this him/herself. Perhaps Misko can give a tip or two for this and next photo? =)
8. KIA .......Better than the vitara, but same problem. I'd wish for it to be fixed before upload.

Regards,
Henrik

It's not high quality enough for a crop either, so no idea to upload.

Yeah, I guessed that winking smiley

Yeah, you can see the sunroof and some details that are never seen on regular sideshots. There is a photo view "top" that should be chosen on these ones. I think it's high angle enough for this choice on this one as it's all visible...

Depends... if the models are rare, or good shots are missing of these models it's definitely something worth fixing.. it's not many seconds in photoshop as I guess you can just fix the gamma of shadows and highlights... or whatever those are called in photoshop.

Henrik

I am wonder to ask you hernik,

Some photography doing uploading like these pic like this Vitara or Kia that it need photoshop to re-fix the light showing, I wonder if in the upload page when it done the upload and do own photoshop in your own image before sending into qeune so they will find better pic than seeing too dark or too bright....what you think?

You mean to fix a photo already in the queue, and replace it?

Or fix a photo that has been rejected and put it in the queue again?

I am currently looking into such functionality... if that is what you meant.

Henrik '

Hi again

I am thinking which site I was mean, in the upload page or in the rejected site where you can fix the photo for lighting fix, sharp pics and put in the queue again. I hope it will work....

1. Dark and bad motive. Covered vith black branches on top (not only shadows) and other part in dark shadow. This combination is bad motive for me.

2. About Morgan. Extremely atractive car in this angle position (Thanks God, with no cutted parts) gives maximum energy to this picture. Excellent, for me.

The general idea in screening, as it was told to me once, is to upload atractive, rare or, in motion objects, at any cost. This Morgan (unique handmade for some bank manager) in atractive colour is just that.

Hi,

nobody said that pic is horrible, but look again to both pics. Romanian jeep is less covered by branches, and not in deep shadow. And is rare.
The other without details and in deep shadow and windshield is almost covered
by the thee. In one post before you wrote comparing beautiful handmade Morgan and "covered red car"

think this kind of pics should be rejected, no matter if it's a nice pic

??????

And I strongly don`t agree with you that

I think that any car must be uploaded at any cost.

The purpose of this, "highly democratic" site, as I see, for uploaders is to have a nice time taking and uploading pics on the net, sharing materials from all over the world on global net, and if some of them are massive uploaders to raise quality of this site and its rank on the net. This is not a race. But those people have more responsability that some new photographers with 50 pics or less.

After 35 years of pro-work in, mostly macro and micro photography as forensic expert, I am not shamed to write that after classic photography on film, in late fourties, I learned about digital tehnology as I was at school again. And this is also one purpose of this site, to learn more, to be better, in something you like to do.

Friendly Regards to all fellow phoographers here

Misko

PS. About my opinion of CDB as democratic site... on the world most famous sites (myaviation, airliners as example) the communication with crew almost doesn`t exist at all, here we talk about our pics, we do better some things and I think it`s great.
