We just speak about this with henrik, we will have to check this pictures with the photographer and delete it if i doesn't have copyright.

00080615 and any photo that has MONTRAL is probably not taken by that person and isn't even in MONTREAL I KNOW FOR A FACT that 00080615 isn't in Montreal because it has EUROPEAN PLATES ON IT and honestly 00080614 looks like somewhere in Africa and not Montreal.

Was not taken in Panama, in fact, it says Copyring Len Rogers. They got it from www.hankstruckpictures.com . Henrik needs to get that one removed, since it clearly says that these pictures are not to be published elsewhere without permission.

I assume it's Ok if you say picture taken by whoever did it, like what Rob did with a bunch of old pics, but not without authorisation and with erroneous info.

I would really like to see this fixed, specially because I have already been a victim of picture piracy.

I've done it for one photo I have, I stated that I didn't take the photo though and I've thought seriously, about asking Henrik to delete it for me.

It is interesting, that almost all suspicious pictures we talk about, are from the same source, or "photographer". I personaly have positive experience with people who used my aviation or car pictures. They (so far) always contact me and send me the magazine or a book where the pictures took place after my permission.

I come across my own pictures I've originally uploaded here, on websites all over the world. I've even seen them in magazines.

Some has aked permission, like a mopar magazine latest doing a feature on my friends '69 Super Bee.

The photo "taken" by Mahmod Shakeri of green Mercedes-Benz 2626 mixer truck picture ID 80556 is from Germany, Baden-Württemberg region and city is Enzkreis, and of course it is not from Panama as Felipe confirm.

While I don't have a problem with people asking me to post my pics elsewhere, it just pisses my off that they just upload them without any kind of credit.

I think the site should really take up something like what Airliners.net does and that is have the copyright logo thingy on the bottom of the photo or even go as far as to having the option to have watermarks.

I think we're getting more popular now with increased traffic that we should consider to do these types of things.

Well, I'm already adding a watermark with my name in the pics where mexican buses appear, this because it was a picture of a mexican bus the one that was pirated.

i used to add my name to photos but i stopped doing it because it took way to much time, but now with this i may start doing it again..though we should still go with something like what Airliners.net does

I agree, the site should have a copyrighted photographer bottom bar and also the possible to input a watermark, like Myaviation and Airliners has.

I've never been piracy victim, but it's always good to prevent and avoid this bad practice.

When the copyrighted bar get entered available, the pics already in database automatically would get it as tool from the site. We must protect our hobby work, photography has international laws about copyright photographer, but it's hard to punish the bad guys. Some make a dirty steal, without to remove the name of the real photographer, and maybe others are more accurated on this, a truly thief.

Watermark is for sure the best protection, and input 2/3 from bottom of the pic, it's hard work for the thiefs get the copyright from us.

I hope you guys help me on this in near future with Henrik, he already knows me from Myaviation forum.

The photograph that you included in your post (a green Wolseley 1300) was shot at York Racecourse, United Kingdom by ME (Simon GP Geoghegan).

the User 'car_maniak' is not a photographer - he simply takes pictures from other albums (such as my PICASA album - [picasaweb.google.com]#) and then he posts them on sites like this claiming the photos as his own.

Please STOP THIS ABUSE

The photos are not exactly the same but i wonder anyway, is the same photographer under other name or just a coincidence?

These 3 pics are taken with 3 different cameras, and have 2 different resolutions, the Phantom photo has an icon in left bottom, i think i've seen it before, cant remember where. And the mercedes has the date stamped and the others not, that means for me that were taken from internet:

I understand that Mahmod Shakeri has been copying and stealing others photos and I have told the people who upload photos to stop accepting anything that is his. NOTHING THAT HE ADDS seems to be real. I am going to delete the three you sent me.

If it is as You think it is, admin must react immediately, as you said. The good name of this site will be in danger if "photographers" participate here that way. We live here as a kind of "brotherhood" as I see our friendly relations here, and we don t need any problems. Admin just have to use his "eraser tool" for all pictures "authors" of that kind.

We're going to try to push for change on this. I agree with you Misko about a brother hood, we have already put one bad story behind us, WERNER, and now we don't need anymore fake photos. I am trying to push to become a screener and that happens I know for a fact Mahmod Shakeri photos will be deleted and none of his ever allowed
